Gladiatus Version 4 Dungeon Warfare Tips

Gladiatus server # 3 updated from version 3.3 to version 4 yesterday as I played without me hardly noticing the change until I saw those buttons on the side of my character and that is when my whole gladiatus experience changed.
Fortunately, I had been playing it in the german servers and have been scanning the euro forums (Link on the side of this page) for any hints of what version 4 was like and I gathered some valuable information.
As you have noticed, the merchants, armorer and weapons smith update their goods every 24 hours (This SUCKS) but if you are a rubie player you can just pay one rubie to update it. You will see prices on everything go through the roof due to supply and demand making this an interesting game for players who like to sell weapons, food, jewelry and now even mercenaries. Rubie players will have a huge advantage in version 4 but you will also notice that the weapons and gear that the armorer and the blacksmith crank out is realy crapy and it is one of the major complaints on the german servers.
Gladiatus version 4 also gives you the option of going into dungeons but unfortunately, most players are not ready for dungeon warfare as of yet but I will do my best to give you some hints into getting ready for the dungeons. You will see lots of players complaining about how powerful the dungeon NPC are but that is just indicative that they got their asses handed out to them for not being ready.
HINTS AND TIPS FOR DUNGEON QUESTS
Equip your main character with the best posible weapon, armor and gear you can find. Dont you dare enter into the dungeons with just a sword and a shield and without a full team of MERCS.
You will have to spend tons of gold, and or rubies to get yourself ready for the dungeons but it will be worth it because once you have a good team of mercs at your side you should be able to take on those dreaded high leveled NPC with outrageous damage points.
Plan out what role you will play in the team. Think of a navy seal team. Each man plays a special role. There are three basic things that you or your mercs will engage in.
  1. HOPLOMACHUS: Simply means HEAVY ARMORE
  2. THRACIAN: Simply means offensive SMASHER
  3. MEDICUS: Simply means MEDIC or HEALER

Your team will consist of these three roles. Decide what you are going to be. In my case I love to SMASH so I will be one of the smashers in the team. The smasher or THRACIAN should have the highest damage points possible, high strenth, high skill, high agility and high charisma. The smasher does not need allot of armor but needs to be AGILE so AGILITY is very important as well.

THE TANK or the HOPLOMACHUS is goint to take all the damage from the monster or beast that presents itself in the dungeons. Divert the monsters attention to your TANK. Give this guy the highest armor you can give him. Give him high agility and High constitution. Arm your tank well because he will serve as your shield.

THE MEDIC or the MEDICUS is the team healer. He will heal the team each round until your team takes out the beast. Give your medic high INTELIGENCE, High constitution and arm him well because the beast will go after him after he takes out your tank.

You can have up to 4 mercs in your team of 5 so you can try any amount of combinations:

In my case I would like to have 3 THRACIANS and one HOPLO with the medic for support. Equip all your mercs with the best possible equipment you can find. Dont be cheap with your team. Remember think of a navy seal team. They are very well equiped in order to function in their role. Hire the highest level Mercs you can find. In my case since I am a SULTAN (Rubie Player) I plan on hiring mercs at higher levels than me with the best possible weapons, armor and gear.

Be patient. Concentrate on equiping yourself and your mercs before you venture off into the dungeons or you will be dissapointed. Once you have your team fully equiped and ready to rock and roll then your game experience will be a happy one because from what I hear, once you know the ropes the dungeons are as easy as taking candy from a kid but the folks who say that have been playing this game way longer than we have. The folks who say that are players who are level 150 and up so just think of were you are and how far you need to go in order to dish out some pain in the dungeons.
